ABOUT BLUE KOI:
Welcome to the Blue Koi! This bustling noodles and dumpling shop, run by the Chang family of Genghis Khan Mongolian Barbecue fame, is one of the coolest new additions to Kansas City dining. Step through the Chinese red door and into a warm, hip scene. The long, high-ceilinged room with big windows is set off with sponged blue walls trimmed in bright yellow and red. Patrons can view the activity of the busy staff preparing the fresh, imaginative dishes in the open kitchen at the back of the restaurant.

Opened in early 2002, the Blue Koi quickly developed a loyal following. Named the “Best Ethnic Restaurant 2003” by Ingram's Magazine, the Blue Koi has pleased patrons with innovative dishes such as Ants on a Tree, a colorful dish of cellophane noodles tossed with delicately spiced ground pork and bits of cabbage and chopped carrots or a variety of plump Northern Chinese dumplings.

A Blue Koi trademark is their many-flavored Bubble Tea, a unique blend of ice, nondairy milk, tea and tapioca pearls which the restaurant first introduced to Kansas City. A fine selection of loose-leaf Chinese teas and a full bar are also offered to complement your meal.
